Historical Sites day!

TADAAA JONKER STREET :)

CHRIST CHURCH MALACCA!

This is the Christ Church! Christ Church is the oldest functioning Protestant church in Malaysia and is placed within the jurisdiction of the Lower Central Archdeaconry of the Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia. Besides that, the Christ Church is also the oldest surviving Dutch church building found outside the Netherlands and Sunday services are still held in this church. So this  Christ Church was built by the Dutch. They started the construction in 1741 and completed it in 1753. It is located next to the Stadthuys. Until today, They have Sunday Services. We are allowed to  visit the church by getting the permission of the person-in-charge because without having a look at the interior, one might not be able to recognize the magnificent construction of this building. Here's a reminder for you - YOU"RE NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE ANY PHOTOS IN THE CHURCH! A lot of colourful trishaws and directly opposite is the Historical Museum and Ethnographical Museum but you have to pay to ride on the trishaws!
Address of the Christ Church : Jalan Gereja, Malacca
Phone number:06-284 8804

Beautiful trishaws all along the streets! They are so adorable! I've asked for the price for one ride which is RM40 for an hour.Tourists like to get  the trishaw ride in front of Christ Church, the rides bring them to most of Melaka sights and attractions. Besides that, one can either choose for 1/2 hour ride for RM20.00, Some tips for you-negotiate with the trishaw rider before you hop into it!  Most of the trishaw is well decorated with flowers, flags, personal collections and with LOUD and awesome music! I've seen some of the trishaws decorated with cute soft toys and cushions! For further information, you may contact: +606 232 6411 / +606 288 3732

Despite the really really hot weather in Malacca, I love walking around Malacca streets! They're so beautiful and they have really unique architecture designs. It is really impressive! Look at the gorgeous Queen Victoria Fountain at the back! . It was completely built in 1901 by British to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty's reign. Impressively, it is still functioning till now!

Last but not least, this is the Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower in Melaka.
Red Clock Tower is another significant icon sits on Dutch Square. This Clock Tower was erected in 1886 in honor of a generous Chinese tycoon named Tan Beng Swee. Some called it 'Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower'.  *sorry for the bad quality because this photo was taken on the other night !
